SVC LEADS $200M ROUND IN COMPANY THAT TURNED OUT TO BE A SINGLE INTERN NAMED CLAUDIO
SAN FRANCISCO - Shitty Venture Capital, Inc. ("SVC") today announced it has led a $200 million Series B in HyperScale Labs, a company that, upon the wiring of funds, was discovered to be a single unpaid intern named Claudio.
"The pitch was flawless," said Managing Partner Chadwick Burnsworth III. "Claudio had a logo, a Notion page, and a confidence that, frankly, most of our funded teams lack. At no point did it occur to us to ask whether anyone else worked there."
According to the firm, Claudio single-handedly conducted the entire diligence process by playing all roles on the calls, including CEO, CTO, and a skeptical board member who pushed back just enough to seem real.
SVC stated it remains "fully committed to Claudio" and has appointed Claudio to his own board, where he will report to Claudio. Claudio could not be reached for comment, as he is on the run with $200 million.
