FIRM DENIES REPORTS THAT TERM SHEETS WERE WRITTEN IN CRAYON; CONFIRMS THEY WERE WRITTEN IN MARKER
SAN FRANCISCO - Shitty Venture Capital, Inc. ("SVC") today firmly denied circulating reports that its term sheets were written in crayon, stating unequivocally that they were written in marker.
"We take our reputation seriously," said Managing Partner Chadwick Burnsworth III. "The suggestion that this firm would execute a binding financing document in crayon is both false and insulting. We use a marker. A Sharpie, specifically. Fine tip. We are professionals."
The firm acknowledged that its Term Sheet Generator has been broken since 2019 and that, in its absence, deals are now memorialized by hand on whatever surface is nearest, including napkins, whiteboards, and on one occasion a colleague's forearm.
SVC reiterated that all such documents are "fully legally binding, probably" and declined to take further questions about the forearm.
